  • What exactly does a copywriter do?
    To put it simply, copywriting is persuasive writing. Copywriters write copy that translates an idea or a brand into something that people want to invest in. Some copywriters work well with algorithms to write persuasive content that ranks on Google. Other forms of copywriting include email marketing, Facebook ads, flyers, TV advertising, landing pages, billboards - the list goes on. If you read something that made you want to buy something, it was probably the work of a copywriter.
  • What is the difference between a content writer and a copywriter?
    The difference between content writing and copywriting comes down to purpose. The former tells a story that provides value to the reader, usually in the form of education or entertainment. Copywriting is the art of persuading people to invest in an idea, brand, or service. The difference is that copywriting is copy writing and copy is content that advertises.
  • What is SEO and why is it important?
    SEO stands for search engine optimization. It is a strategy that some copywriters employ to get websites ranking on Google. There are many factors that contribute to a first or second page ranking. One of the most important factors is keyword inclusion. When you hire me to do your SEO, I research what words and phrases people are searching for when they land on your competitor website. I then choose keywords with high search volume and low competition and develop a strategy to include these words on your website. When I ran analysis on this article, I discovered that I needed to use the word "copywriting" 19 times to get on top of my target SERPs. I also found 30+ other keywords to work into my copy. Working these keywords into content in a way that does not negatively impact reading experience is the talent of copywriters that handle both the SEO side and the creative side of the job.
  • I have a business model but I'm starting from scratch. Can you still help with marketing?

    Yes - I am currently accepting new clients! I don't accept every client that sends me an email. This is because I want to be confident that my time and work will actually be valuable to your business. Occasionally, new clients approach me with niches that I have no experience writing in. I am part of a network of talented freelancers and if I don't feel I am the right person for the job, I will connect you with a person that is.
  • How can you help me with social media?
    When people approach me for social media guidance, they tend to be looking for a marketing solution that saves them time and/or money. If it's time you're looking to save, I will manage your social media posts so that you don't have to. If your budget is your concern, I will create a personalized strategy for you so you can create the posts yourself and save money on outsourcing. I will give you hashtags, teach you how to create content of value, and give you handy information on your competitors.
